Strawberry Basil Smash

Ingredients

  • 60 ml gin
  • 30 ml Simply Syrups Strawberry Fruit Puree
  • 15 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 5-6 fresh basil leaves
  • 15 ml Simply Syrups rich sugar syrup
  • Ice
  • Fresh strawberries and basil leaves for garnish (optional)

instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh basil leaves gently to release their aroma.
  2. Add 60 ml of gin, 30 ml of Strawberry Fruit Puree, 15 ml of fresh lemon juice, and 15 ml of simple syrup to the shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice.
  4. Put the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. This will chill the cocktail and infuse the flavors.
  5. Strain the cocktail into a chilled rocks glass filled with ice.
  6. If desired, garnish the cocktail with a fresh strawberry and a sprig of basil.
  7. Serve and enjoy your Strawberry Basil Smash!
