Classic Mint Mojito

Ingredients

  • 60 ml white rum
  • 30 ml fresh lime juice
  • 20 ml Simply Syrups Mojito mint syrup
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • Soda water (to top off the glass)
  • Ice
  • Lime wheel and fresh mint sprig for garnish

instructions

  1. In a glass, add the fresh mint leaves.
  2. Muddle the mint leaves gently to release their flavour, but be careful not to over-muddle and make them bitter.
  3. Add 60 ml of white rum, 30 ml of fresh lime juice, and 20 ml of Mojito mint syrup to the glass.
  4. Fill the glass with ice.
  5. Stir the mixture to combine the ingredients and chill the cocktail.
  6. Top off the glass with soda water to your desired level, typically 60-90 ml, depending on the glass size and your preference for dilution.
  7. Garnish the cocktail with a lime wheel and a fresh mint sprig.
