Blood Orange Margarita

Ingredients

  • 60 ml tequila
  • 30 ml Simply Syrups blood orange syrup
  • 30 ml fresh lime juice
  • 15 ml triple sec (orange liqueur)
  • Ice
  • Salt (for rimming the glass, optional)
  • Blood orange slice or lime wedge (for garnish)

instructions

  1. If you’d like to rim the glass with salt, wet the rim with a blood orange slice or a lime wedge, then dip it into a plate of salt to coat the rim.
  2. In a shaker, combine the tequila, blood orange syrup, fresh lime juice, and triple sec.
  3. Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to chill the ingredients.
  4. Strain the mixture into a chilled margarita glass filled with ice.
  5. Garnish your Blood Orange Margarita with a blood orange slice or a lime wedge.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
Feel free to adjust the quantities to suit your taste, and you can also sweeten or tart up the cocktail by adding more or less blood orange syrup or fresh lime juice.
